"O Israel, return to HaShem your G-d; for you have stumbled in your iniquity. Take with you words, and turn to HaShem; say to Him: Forgive all iniquity, and receive us graciously; so will we offer the words of our lips instead of calves." (Hosea 14:2-3)
"Yet even now, says HaShem, turn to Me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning; And tear your heart, and not your garments, and turn to HaShem your G-d; for He is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repents of the evil....Blow the shofar in Zion, sanctify a fast, call a solemn assembly; Gather the people, sanctify the congregation, assemble the elders, gather the children, and those that suck the breasts; let the bridegroom go out of his room, and the bride out of her chamber." "Who is a G-d like You, who pardons iniquity, and passes over the transgression of the remnant of His heritage? He does not retain His anger for ever, because He delights in mercy. He will again have compassion upon us; He will suppress our iniquities; and You will cast all their sins into the depths of the sea. You will show truth to Jacob, and loving mercy to Abraham, as You have sworn to our fathers from the days of old." (Micah 7:18-20)
